ChatGPT connects to the Pallyy [MCP server](/docs/api/mcp) as a plugin: paste the server URL once, sign in with your Pallyy account, and ChatGPT can list what's scheduled, create and edit posts for every connected network, import media, and manage calendar notes. ChatGPT is also the one client that can hand Pallyy a file straight from the conversation, so an image it generated can go into a post without a public link. The plugin is included on every Pallyy plan.

## What you need

- A Pallyy account on any plan, Free included.
- ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu. Plugins aren't available on the free plan.
- Developer mode turned on. On Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces an admin enables it for the workspace first.

## How to connect ChatGPT

ChatGPT takes the server URL as a plugin and signs in through Pallyy's consent page:

1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings**, go to **Security and login**, and turn on **Developer mode**.
2. Go to [chatgpt.com/plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins) and click the plus button.
3. Name the plugin `Pallyy`, add a short description, choose **Public endpoint** under **Connection**, and paste `https://app.pallyy.com/mcp` as the server URL.
4. Create the connection. ChatGPT sends you to Pallyy: sign in, choose the social sets it may reach, and click **Authorize**. The [approving a connection](/docs/api/mcp#approving-a-connection) section explains each option.
5. Review the tools ChatGPT discovered, then start a chat with the Pallyy plugin enabled.

ChatGPT asks for your confirmation before it runs any tool that creates or changes something, in every conversation. Pallyy adds its own gate on top: publishing only works if you granted the Publish posts permission.

## Importing images from the conversation

ChatGPT can pass an image it generated, or one you attached, directly to Pallyy through the [`upload_media_file`](/docs/api/mcp/tools#upload-media-file) tool. Ask it to add the image to your library or to use it in a post and the file lands in the media library of the social set you name, with no download or public link needed. Other clients import media from a URL instead.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why can't I find where to add a plugin?

Developer mode is off. Turn it on under **Settings > Security and login** and the plus button appears on chatgpt.com/plugins. On a Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace an admin has to enable Developer mode before members see it.

### Does the Pallyy plugin work on the free ChatGPT plan?

No. OpenAI makes plugins available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu only. Pallyy's side is included on every Pallyy plan, the free plan included.

### Will ChatGPT schedule posts without asking me?

No. ChatGPT requires a confirmation for every tool call that creates or changes something, and Pallyy only lets it schedule a post that will publish if you granted the Publish posts permission when you approved the plugin. Without that permission it creates drafts.

### How do I disconnect ChatGPT?

Open **[Settings > Connected Apps](https://app.pallyy.com/settings/connected-apps)** in Pallyy and click **Disconnect** next to ChatGPT. Removing the plugin in ChatGPT alone leaves the grant in place until you disconnect it there.
