Mistral's Le Chat connects to the Pallyy [MCP server](/docs/api/mcp) as a custom MCP connector authenticated with a bearer token, your Pallyy API key. Once connected, Le Chat can list what's scheduled, create and edit posts for every connected network, import media from a URL, and manage calendar notes. Custom connectors are available on Le Chat's free plan, and the server is included on every Pallyy plan.

## What you need

- A Pallyy account on any plan, Free included.
- Le Chat on the Free, Pro, or Student plan, where you are the admin of your own account. On Team and Enterprise a workspace admin adds the connector once for everyone.
- A Pallyy [API key](/docs/api/authentication) with the permissions Le Chat should have.

## How to connect Le Chat

Le Chat takes the server URL in its connector form and asks for the token:

1. In Pallyy, open **[Settings > API keys](https://app.pallyy.com/settings/api-keys)** and create a key named `LeChat`. Grant Edit posts, add Upload media if it should import files, and leave Publish posts off to keep it drafting.
2. In Le Chat, open **Connectors**, click **+ Add Connector**, and switch to the **Custom MCP Connector** tab.
3. Name it `Pallyy` (no spaces), paste `https://app.pallyy.com/mcp` as the server URL, add a description if you like, and click **Connect**.
4. When Le Chat asks how to authenticate, choose **HTTP Bearer Token** and paste your Pallyy API key.
5. Enable Pallyy in a chat and ask away.

## Why Le Chat uses a bearer token

Le Chat can sign in to MCP servers with OAuth, but it redirects back to Mistral's domain, and Pallyy's [authorization server](/docs/api/mcp/authorization) only accepts redirects to `claude.ai`, `chatgpt.com`, `cursor.com`, or a local address. The bearer token option gives Le Chat the same access, bounded by the key's permissions and social set restriction.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need a paid Le Chat plan?

No. Mistral includes custom MCP connectors on Le Chat's Free plan as well as Pro and Student. On Team and Enterprise a workspace admin adds connectors. Pallyy's side is included on every Pallyy plan too.

### Which permissions should the Le Chat key have?

Edit posts for drafting, Upload media for importing from links, Publish posts off unless you want unattended scheduling, and a single social set for client work.

### Can the whole team use one connector?

Yes, on Team and Enterprise. A workspace admin adds Pallyy once and every member can use it. Pair it with a key restricted to the right social sets so the team only sees what it should.

### How do I disconnect Le Chat?

Delete the key under **[Settings > API keys](https://app.pallyy.com/settings/api-keys)** in Pallyy. The connector stops working immediately, and a new key reconnects it.
