Connect Cursor

Cursor connects to the Pallyy MCP server through an entry in its MCP configuration and signs in with your Pallyy account from the browser. Once connected, the agent can list what's scheduled, create and edit posts for every connected network, import media from a URL, and manage calendar notes, which puts the social calendar next to the code that a release announcement describes. The server is included on every Pallyy plan.

• Cursor with MCP servers enabled, on the desktop or through the Cursor CLI.

How to connect Cursor

Cursor reads the server from mcp.json and prompts you to log in:

1. Open Customize in Cursor's sidebar and add a new MCP server (older versions: Cursor Settings > Tools & MCP > New MCP server), or edit ~/.cursor/mcp.json directly. To connect one project only, use .cursor/mcp.json inside that project instead.
2. Add the entry and save.

3. Cursor shows Pallyy as needing login. Click it, sign in to Pallyy in the browser, choose the social sets the agent may reach, and click Authorize. The approving a connection section explains each option.
4. In Agent, ask for a post. The agent calls the Pallyy tools and returns a link to the result on the calendar.

Cursor registers itself with Pallyy's authorization server through dynamic client registration and redirects to a local address, which Pallyy accepts.

Connecting with an API key instead

An API key in a header replaces the sign-in step, which suits shared machines and automation. The key's permissions and social set restriction apply.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect Pallyy to one project only?

Yes. Put the entry in .cursor/mcp.json inside the project rather than ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Cursor loads it for that workspace alone, so a client's repository can carry its own connection, limited to that client's social set when you approve it.

Does the connection work in the Cursor CLI?

Yes. The Cursor CLI reads the same mcp.json, so a server added in the editor is available in the terminal. Run agent mcp list to see it and agent mcp login pallyy to sign in from there.

Can the agent attach a local file to a post?

No. Cursor can't send a file from disk to Pallyy through MCP. Host the image or video somewhere public and ask the agent to import it from the link, or use something already in the media library.

How do I disconnect Cursor?

Open Settings > Connected Apps in Pallyy and click Disconnect next to Cursor. If you connected with an API key, delete the key under Settings > API keys instead.
